Robert Ginther
Robert Ginther, a lifelong Oakland County resident and graduate of OCC’s Police Academy, Fire Academy and EMS Academy has established several endowed scholarships on behalf of the Ginther family to recognize scholastic achievement, encourage continued progress, and provide financial assistance to OCC students who are working toward achieving their educational goals and are committed to public service.
Rob has been in the field of consolidated public safety for over twenty-five years and holds an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Fighting Technology from OCC, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Studies from Siena Heights University, is a graduate of the Michigan State University School of Police Staff and Command (6th class), as well as the Eastern Michigan University School of Fire Staff and Command (21st class).
In addition to serving with Beverly Hills Public Safety, he has had the privilege to increase his involvement in the greater public safety community by teaching a variety of police, fire, and EMS topics and has served in various instructional and administrative capacities at OCC. Rob retired from the college April 1, 2022, as the Program Manager for the Combined Regional Emergency Services Training Center (CREST).
