Robert Austin memorial (by his family)

Robert (Bob) Austin was a graduate of the University of Detroit and a CPA. He was employed in a family printing and publishing business for over 40 years. He also was employed as an adjunct faculty member at Oakland Community College at the Highland Lakes Campus, teaching Accounting and Finance. After he retired from the family business, he continued teaching and began tutoring accounting students in the Access and ASC Departments at the OCC Orchard Ridge campus.

Working with students was Bob’s true passion. He especially enjoyed working with the older students who had returned to school in hopes of bettering their lives and occupational situations.

Bob passed away in December 2016. His family would like to honor him by continuing to help future accounting students by offering a scholarship in his memory.
