David Randall memorial (by his family)

David R. Randall, PhD was a long-time faculty member, donor, and mentor to OCC students. He began his career as a mechanical engineer, but switched to education in the late 1950s as the country focused on improving the quality of our math and science education during the “space race.” Dr. Randall led the development of a mathematics curriculum after the initial founding of OCC in 1964 and became a Professor in the Mathematics Department of the OCC Highland Lakes Campus. He retired from OCC as Professor and Chair of the Mathematics Department in 1992 and subsequently established the David Randall Endowed Math Scholarship. He was an avid sports fan and a walking encyclopedia of sports statistics. Dr. Randall also enjoyed golfing, reading, discussing politics, and traveling.
