Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated - Iota Rho Lamda Chapter of Pontiac, Michigan
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University, by seven African-American students. The Fraternity initially served as a study and support group for minority students. The Founders and early leaders of the Fraternity succeeded in laying a firm foundation for Alpha Phi Alpha’s principles of scholarship, fellowship, good character and the uplifting of humanity.
Iota Rho Lamda, an Alumni Chapter, based in Pontiac, Michigan has been and continues to be dedicated to the principles established by the Fraternity’s Founders. We continue to be active in our communities, with a particular passion for education.
